What is BlueChew?

BlueChew's FAQ calls it “an online telemedicine platform that connects you with licensed medical providers” for ED prescriptions. It says its medicines are compounded, that the FDA does not approve or evaluate compounded medicines, and that a prescription is required. It lists active ingredients across its range: sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, caffeine, apomorphine and oxytocin.

BlueChew says it is available throughout the United States except North Dakota. Plans are subscriptions. Its FAQ says you can cancel through your account or by contacting support at least 24 hours before renewal, and that it cannot accept returns of prescription treatments.

What is BlueChew Gold?

BlueChew side effects, from the FDA labels

BlueChew products are compounded and have no FDA label of their own. Neither do Rugiet Ready or the Mendoxa tablet; compounded combinations are not FDA-approved. The individual ingredients do have FDA labels, and the warnings below come from those labels. They describe each drug on its own, not the combined products.

The Viagra and Cialis labels list the same hard stops. Do not use them with organic nitrates in any form, or with a guanylate cyclase stimulator such as riociguat. Do not use them if sex is inadvisable because of your heart. Get emergency care for an erection that lasts more than 4 hours. Stop and get care for a sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, or a sudden decrease or loss of hearing.

Most common side effects (2% or more) on the Viagra label: headache, flushing, dyspepsia, abnormal vision, nasal congestion, back pain, myalgia, nausea, dizziness and rash. On the Cialis label: headache, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, nasal congestion, flushing and pain in limb.

The FDA label we can cite for apomorphine is APOKYN, a subcutaneous injection for Parkinson's disease “off” episodes. It is not an ED label and it does not set an ED dose. It lists: nausea and vomiting; syncope and low blood pressure on standing; falling asleep during daily activities; painful prolonged erections (reported by 3 of 361 treated men). It says use with 5HT3 antagonists such as ondansetron is contraindicated, after reports of profound hypotension and loss of consciousness. Alcohol and sublingual nitroglycerin made its blood-pressure drop larger.

Does BlueChew work?

We do not score other companies, and we do not quote customer reviews as facts. The effectiveness data on the Viagra and Cialis labels come from trials of those FDA-approved tablets, not of chewables or compounded sublinguals. The FDA says compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and that the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed. That applies to the Mendoxa tablet and to every other compounded ED product on this page.
