Apomorphine for ED: what the labels say
Apomorphine is a dopamine agonist. Its FDA labels, APOKYN and ONAPGO, are injections for Parkinson's disease, not ED, and they set no ED dose. In ED care it appears in compounded combinations. Mendoxa's prescribed tablet pairs it with sildenafil and tadalafil, from $129 a month.

What the APOKYN label says
The FDA label we can cite for apomorphine is APOKYN, a subcutaneous injection for Parkinson's disease “off” episodes. It is not an ED label and it does not set an ED dose. It lists: nausea and vomiting; syncope and low blood pressure on standing; falling asleep during daily activities; painful prolonged erections (reported by 3 of 361 treated men). It says use with 5HT3 antagonists such as ondansetron is contraindicated, after reports of profound hypotension and loss of consciousness. Alcohol and sublingual nitroglycerin made its blood-pressure drop larger.
| Label item | APOKYN (injection, Parkinson's) | What it means for ED |
|---|---|---|
| Indication | Acute, intermittent treatment of “off” episodes in advanced Parkinson's disease | Not an ED indication |
| Route | Subcutaneous use only | Not a tablet instruction |
| Half-life | About 40 minutes (range about 30 to 60) after injection | Injection data; not a tablet or ED number |
| Contraindicated with | 5HT3 antagonists such as ondansetron | Tell the clinician about anti-nausea drugs |
| Erections | Painful prolonged erections reported in 3 of 361 men | An erection over 4 hours is an emergency |
| Abuse | Rare postmarketing reports of abuse | Take only as prescribed |

How long does apomorphine last?
For the injected Parkinson's product, the APOKYN label reports a mean terminal half-life of about 40 minutes. That number is for subcutaneous injection. No FDA label gives a duration for apomorphine in an ED tablet, so we do not print one.
Apomorphine with sildenafil and tadalafil
Mendoxa's ED tablet combines apomorphine with sildenafil and tadalafil. Rugiet Ready and BlueChew Gold also list apomorphine. All are compounded and not FDA-approved. The PDE5 labels add their own stops:
The Viagra and Cialis labels list the same hard stops. Do not use them with organic nitrates in any form, or with a guanylate cyclase stimulator such as riociguat. Do not use them if sex is inadvisable because of your heart. Get emergency care for an erection that lasts more than 4 hours. Stop and get care for a sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, or a sudden decrease or loss of hearing.
